Mickey Boat Day 3

Sunday October 7th, 2012

Rise and Shine
The children slept in- the sea air must have done them good.  No one fell out of the bunks and all 3 rested soundly- a beautiful and rare thing!  We snuggled on the veranda in our pjs and enjoyed watching the waves before starting our day.  No dolphins this morning that we could see but the weather was amazing!  This was a day at sea- no land in sight for 2 more days.  Smooth sailing!

Breakfast
This morning it was breakfast at Topsiders fresh fruit, bacon, eggs, bagels, toast, cereal, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, pastries, juice, milk, and of course Mickey shaped waffles!  Short, simple and sweet.
she's feeding the Mickey waffle some bacon- sharing is always nice!

A Little Shopping
Okay remember this is Disney were talking about here so of course there are expensive souvenirs and adorable whatevers that you have to get!  Today was the "Princess and Prince" formal day and new princess dresses were in order!  It took us a few minutes to decide but the girls made their selections and tried them on with the accessories.  Annabelle chose the beautiful pink Aurora dress and Lulu walked away with the Snow White dress as well as headband and purse (how can you say no to such a precious lil princess?!).  This was not our last trip to the gift shop.

Sam got Mickey and this cute wee man shirt!

Princess Time
The girls went up to the kids club for mermaid crafts and parachute games, Daddy and Sam napped in the room.  Time had come to meet the princesses so I left the boys asleep back in the room, picked up Annabelle and Lulu and we joined the growing line to wait for the princesses.  We were fortunate enough to be at the front of the never ending line that literally extended half the length of the ship.  While we waited we visited with other families.  This is a big deal!  Little girls wait forever all dressed up, autograph books in hand.  The parents wait anxiously with cameras to take pictures and videos of the less than 2 minute interaction.  This is the supreme meeting, for most little girls its a bigger deal then meeting even the mouse himself.  In less than hour it was our turn- Cinderella, Aurora, Tiana, and Belle awaited Annabelle and Lu!

Afternoon
Everyone enjoyed a nice lunch at Parrot Cay.  This is a charming restaurant with tropical ambiance.  Today's menu was Italian buffet and a delicious ice cream buffet for dessert (a pregnant woman's dream come true!)  We had a relaxing afternoon- the pools were crowed so we found other things to occupy our time and a "present of the day".  This downtime late in the afternoon provided a good time for bathing the chickens (there was a late night on the agenda)  and being that it was our formal dinner we all needed some time to get prettied up!

Crafts and Tea
As soon as I mentioned to Annabelle that they had family crafts each day she was one happy cruiser!  She and I spent some one on one time together as we enjoyed decorating tote bags in the lounge. She did a fabulous job and was very creative, I on the other hand was lame and stuck with Mickey ears (3 touching circles is just my speed).

Clinking Cups

Daddy pours tea

The little kids and Daddy joined us in time for Tea with Alice.  This was a cute little 45 minute show/snack/photo op  with the Mad Hatter and Alice.  The tables were all set for tea with tiny tea pots and chocolate chip cookies!  Alice and Hatter did some song and dance entraining and we snacked before getting pictures taken.  Samuel slept through the entire thing in his stroller even thru the antics and craziness of the Mad Hatter.

Fancy Dinner
The Prince and Princess dinner was held at Animator's Palate.  This restaurant is pretty neat- more on that later.  We sat at table 44 like the night before and met our table mates-  Linda and David along with their granddaughter Ava.  A nice couple from Pittsburg, PA.  He works in a chemical factory and she is a home based travel agent.  Ava and Annabelle hit it off, both 5 years old and into all things princess.  They quickly became friends, giggling making plans to meet up in the club later that evening.  Dinner was served and devoured as well as dessert over friendly conversation.

The Evening
Quickly becoming routine, the girls ended dinner with a request to go back to the kid's club.  There was to be a PJ party with Pluto!  Sam got one on one time with us and Mickey!  The 3 of us caught the evening show- Twice Charmed a twist on the Cinderella story.  Jonathan and I enjoyed the drinks of the day (mine was the nonalcoholic choice obviously).  We picked up the princesses and their decorated pillowcases (very nice crafts in that club!) and headed for our room.  It was a good night!
