We are a 4 ring circus- its probably time to cat this cat out of the bag! This week we have taken our special kind of crazy to a whole new level!
We took the kids to Incredible Pizza (its like chuck E cheese on crack) and we did the usual pizza eating and game playing. Samuel was fond of the horse ride and the girls enjoyed shooting innocent duckies with water and bopping sharks on the head with a huge mallet! We ventured over to the bowling area and tried our hand at this miniature version of bowling that had very real and very HEAVY bowling balls. Samuel took to throwing them down the lane and at us! (surprised we left their with all our toes) At the ticket counter the chickens traded tickets for prizes- we ended up with a ball, 2 dinosaurs (which have already been eaten by Buster our dog), and among other treasures Annabelle and Linley each got a pair of stick on earrings. It was a nice outing and good family fun:) ............. Linley is a "keeper of treasures" she finds something small and hoards it until death do they part. So the earrings were worn for a few hours and then with the sticky worn off they became a kind of useless nothing-which if you are a "keeper of treasures" you LOVE!!! She slept with these earrings and took them on our errands the next day. As I'm cleaning the kitchen like a mad woman because the baby was hungry, Linley comes in telling me that the earrings are in her nose. WHAT?!!!! How does this happen and why am I still surprised by these things? They were pretty far up there! Those shinny little red stick on earrings were nowhere in sight! I begin to panic a bit thinking about how we are going to get those out. I made a call to my husband who keeps a much more level head than I in times of crisis. He assures me that a good snot rocket will pop those shinny things right out! He was right- she blew and out flew the earrings into the kitchen floor. I threw them in the trash while calming the 3yr old tantrum and explaining that once something goes into a hole like- we don't wanna play with it!!!! Thank goodness my husband knows his stuff about snot rockets and we can add another useful tip into the Team Haines parenting guide.
Yep it's a circus and we even serve popcorn!
