Fiesta, Strawberries and Chicken Love

It was a full weekend of family fun!  Annabelle's class is celebrating Fiesta this week- she had the assignment to make a float for a class parade through the halls.  Can't you picture kindergarteners parading down the hall all smiles with their masterpieces?  Too cute! She covered a box with wall paper samples- a huge shout out to Grandma for those wallpaper books she had in our old 4H supply cabinet!  Yes, this is some seriously old wallpaper and no pattern you'd want on your walls hahahaha! I promise! After covering with floral u-g-l-y  she added shinny stickers, silk flowers, hot pink feathers and topped this beautiful float with a mini maraca CHA CHA CHAAAA!  These items alone are the definition of tacky but together they turned this box into a really cute Fiesta fun float!

Fredericksburg is about and hour and a half from our house in the beautiful hill country of South TX.  And better yet its home to strawberries, peaches and wine! We spent Saturday morning picking strawberries and exploring.

this & that

Grace and Sam have a love hate relationship- He loves her to bits!  She hates when he steps on her!

Annabelle is reading to Caroline!  She makes a great audience!

This kid has such a great smile:)  She's at the age of giggles and wiggles- she's loud, full of laughs, and all over the place!  She's showing off the shoes she picked out!

The older 3 ask for "baby love" when they want a turn holding Callie!  Its enough to melt your heart!  Linley gets baby love everyday- she loves having a baby sister!

Annabelle is doing a school project.  Her assignment is to build a building using recyclables for a kindergarten town in her class.  She used two boxes covered with brown paper and paint- then she made lots of windows from baby food lids and drew people looking out.  After adding all the windows she decided this was a hotel- named Annabelle's Hotel of course!

Lulu enjoys our afternoon walks to pick up big sister:)  The weather is beautiful here in south Texas- it was over 90 this day-perfect sunglass weather! She walks, Sam rides in the stroller and Callie goes "roo"style strapped on to me.  We are quite a sight!  lol

Emili sent me this cute butterfly garden!  The girls and I planted it this week and its already started to sprout!  Its the perfect thing to pacify Annabelle (who loves to plant anything)- sadly we are not starting a garden this year due to the move. Thanks Em!

I get these beautiful drawings from Annabelle multiple times a week- this is what she loves do most for her free choice time!!!  We have these masterpieces hung in several different areas of our home!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM!!!!!

Flashback Friday

As we prepare for our upcoming move, here's a look at what we were up to for our last move....

Annabelle was almost 3 and just beginning the dress up stage!  She still loves her gizzy and a milk!

Linley was just shy of turning 1!  She wasn't walking yet and her hair was just long enough for piggies!

Our home in SA

Moving in while entertaining 2 tiny chickens- I remember it was a HOT and LONG day- with a visit from the AC man!  This was our welcome to south Texas- didn't take long to acclimate- I am going to miss these temps!

We even had sister love WAYYYYY back then:)
And Daddy was just as silly!

We have grown a lot here and doubled our chickens!
