Deutschland to Disneyland III

Day 3
It was a Mickey Mouse kinda day!
Breakfast is better at Mickey's house!

Slightly obsessed with the Mickey highchairs!
Cereal and yogurt for breakfast!
a little breakfast dancing:)

The early bird gets the worm!  The early park goers get right on- no lines!!!
Definitely worth the early wake up!  Staying on property has its perks!

There we go....
Gigi hooked us up with Halloween outfits- skeleton and spider shirts with striped pants- they were a hit!!!  I always love my chickens being themed out!  We spent our last park day squeezing out every last drop of magic!

Happy chickens and a happy Gigi

We closed the park down with this!  A grand finale of fireworks  and lights!
This was a great show and a great end to the trip!

Day 4
The time had passed so fast and all of us were sad to say goodbye so soon.  A quick breakfast and repack of the suitcases and we were back at the subway station.

We enjoyed the nautical theme~ coincidentally this trip was
1 year to the date of our Disney cruise.

Goodbye ~ Salut ~ auf Wiedersehen

The Disney subway stop
The Grands thought we could use a few extra hands on our subway adventure- and they were oh so right!!!!  We were dashing, darting and damning our way thru Paris.  The first subway picked us up right from Disney and we rode without complication until the next connection, les Halles (should have been renamed Hells).  We were in a crowed subway and things were going all French funky!  I'll spare you the details but frustrated doesn't begin to describe our flustered state.  And we were cutting it close to make our train.  We made it to the platform with 3 minutes to spare- there was no goodbye- the chickens were thrown on the train along with our luggage and we were off.......talk about a hot mess!  Poor Grands got nothing more than a wave from us as we sped away- it was a whirlwind of blood, sweat and tears!  It took almost the entire 2.5 hour train ride back to Germany to recover!

Still smiling:)

This piece of paper saved the day- but don't be fooled it wasn't this clear  cut lol.
back in Ktown- those precious smiles were worth it all!

any trip ending like this was a great trip!!!!!

So the navigation nightmare wasn't pretty but the trip was fun!  We have decided it is probably a story we will tell for years to come...... "Remember running thru the Paris subway station like a bunch of crazy chickens?!" and it will be followed up with a lot of laughter:)

Deutschland to Disneyland II

Breakfast each morning was more croissants than my love handles could handle, fruit, yogurt, cheese.....it was magnificent!  So after indulging heavily in carbs we layered the chickens with clothing and walked to the park.  Our hotel was lake side and just a short stroll through Disney Village to the entrances of both parks.

Linley loved this ride!
Lin and Grandpa on Slinky Dog
The weather remained cool but the sun's appearance gave us hope.  We started Saturday at Disneyland Studios.  The Toy Story playland was a huge hit with its shrinking atmosphere and playful decor:)  The sidewalks and walls were made of dominoes, tinker toys, and lincoln logs- we were toy sized among Buzz, Rex, and Slinky Dog.

sillies in line helped pass the time!
loved loved loved the ambiance!
the lincoln log walls made my heart smile:)
We also saw several characters out and about- Crula DeVil, Gaston, Mary Poppins, Aladdin, Mulan.  Other chicken favorites were the flying carpets and spinning cars ride.  Annabelle pleaded to go on the "big kid ride" Crush's coaster- after a 40 minute wait with her daddy she got her wish.  It was a fast, dark and spinning ride on the back of Crush's shell through the East Australian Current-she survived and when asked how she liked it she said "it gave me quite a fright!!!!!".  The chickens also helped Lilo find the missing Stitch in outer space in a cute show.

Mulan
Prince Ali yes it is he- Ali Ababwa!
Annabelle is steering this carpet- we are in for a crazy ride!
The Grands take a magic carpet ride with Lulu and Sam

A stop at Radiator Springs to see Mator and McQueen

Lunch at Earl of Sandwich (very British of us) and then on to the other park.  The spooky decorations were too fun!

ghostly fun

They don't look scared to me:)
The captain
Boo Lu

Oh yes, I did!
Snow White!

waiting in line for Snow White- don't they look happy?!

My littles!
We headed back early in the evening for dinner and a movie:)  At dinner we made plans to take advantage of the 2 hours early entrance pass the next day.  We ate at the Yacht Club restaurant at the hotel again- buffet style with many kid friendly choices, and a chocolate fountain (chickens were thrilled!).
Long days and tired babies!
movie night in Gigi's room:)
The chickens ended their day watching a movie with Gigi- all falling asleep before the end lol.  Jonathan, Randy and I enjoyed a sip at the bar in the hotel lobby.
The Captain and me

As close to getting "out" as we ever get- just 2 floors below:)
