Chickens at the Wildpark!

We are struggling with a touch of jet lag (I may or may not be typing this at 3:05am).  In a big effort to expend energy and keep children awake we took them down the road to the wild park!

here we go!

Lots of goats on the trail- and these guys were hungry!

BIG pigs and wee chickens!

rabbits, ginny pigs, and gerbils (or hamsters maybe?)

some bunny sees a rabbit

prairie dog? NO, prariehund!

Linley was pretty brave today- feeding these sheep and goats out of her hand!

bald eagles

some kind of mean bird- reminds me of a Caroline glare!

Emu family- these guys make some strange noises!

The peacocks were the overall favorite!

There were a few playgrounds along the trail
Miss Independent

Annabelle was first to spy the swan (fancy that, her favorite movie is the Swan Princess)!

More Bunnies!

Llama Llama Llama
Daddy found a friend!

bacon!

raccoons

this sums it all up- wild animals on a beautiful landscape with the windturbines

HAM & CHEESE

Mission accomplished- tired them out even more while keeping them awake (oxymoron).  We look forward to going back again soon- this adventure was chicken approved:)

Texas Turkeys & Bahama Momma (and Daddy)

Jonathan found a nice parking garage at the Frankfurt airport- Platzhirsch.  It was a great deal and had over sized spaces:)  The chickens are awaiting the shuttle!

We had a lovely trip back to the states!  And if that wasn't exciting enough, Jonathan and I took a cruise with no chickens! We packed all we could into 14 days- but it was NOT long enough!

I wasn't very good at documenting- here are just a few of the memories we made.

We spent a lot of time poolside!  Enjoying the Texas heat and real summer sunshine!
a new slide- Caroline was happy!

Lulu and Daddy!

Annabelle floating!

My middles are too cool!

a small rest under the shade!

soaking up the sun!

this float was a big hit!

AIRBORNE Sam

Jumping off the rocks- Lin conquered her fear this year!

Lulu had fun:)

Daddy surprised Linley and climbed to the top!

From Texas to Florida to the Bahamas!
Jonathan and I spent the night in Orlando on Saturday and Sunday afternoon we said bon voyage!
Our experience this trip was so different then our last- both were amazing!  Our first cruise was 7 nights with 3 children and I was pregnant- so it was heavy on the kid side and we all enjoyed every bit of it!  This time it was a 4 nighter with no kids so less kiddy stuff- we actually went to the adults only deck, ate a formal dinner, and enjoyed Disney in a different way!
at the port!

I'll be doing whatever snow does in summer!

Olaf selfie!

lobby chandelier- the Dream is a beautiful ship

my prince on his thrown

Disney details- I go crazy for this stuff!

ordering us a drink

Annabelle loved the mickeys everywhere last time- so this was for her!

having a veranda is a MUST!

sunset

towel animals and chocolates every night!
a puppy!

I love so many things about this picture- of course the Aqua Duck slide, the big movie screen poolside, and trivia because I'm a nerd!

First stop was Nassau- tiny light house as we pulled in

We spent a couple hours wandering around Nassau

we found some souvenirs for the chickens, rum cake,  a big conch shell, jerk spices

we played BINGO because thats what old folks do!

The next day was spent at Castaway Cay- the most relaxing, beautiful and enjoyable day!   The beach was right out of a postcard, the clearest water I've ever seen, and my date fabulous!

snorkeling was the name of the game!  We spent about 2 hours on this excursion:)  Wish I would have had an underwater camera- the coral reef, fish, shells!!!

family side on the island!

serenity bay- adults only side of Castaway

our little camp

he looks pretty relaxed here!

so peaceful!
Castaway Cay through a porthole- PERFECT!

we loved the digital pictures that changed each day and evening- super fun to see what it would be

more than just a picture- some are part of a detective game- pick up a mystery game card - hold the card up to the picture and you can reveal clues and recover missing artifacts from all over the ship!

a Nemo mural- Disney details are delightful!

AMAZING!

safety first!

Our fancy formal dinner at Palos!  The best Italian food, staff and setting!  Highly recommend!!!!!!!  We jokingly said to our server that we left the kids at home and this was our very belated honeymoon- he laughed and came back with dessert!

the morning we pulled back into Florida overlooking the port- Disney does this stuff so well- it is amazing to ponder the operations that go into this very smooth process.

back at the airport and we found chick fil a!!! America!!!

Snow White was at the airport - I think she could be my double!

we found Spidey for our Sam Man!

A few delays later we made our way back to Texas to finish out the week with family.  I said it a 100 times, these 2 weeks went so fast and there was much more we wanted to cram in, and of course more family we wanted to see- it was hard to leave!

the Dallas airport has Elsa's ice castle in the middle of it! LET IT GO!

a tiny crab!

group hug- gearing up for the 9 hour flight
